Welcome!
I'm Deb Lambert, Founder of ICLiving, a practice devoted to living life purposefully aware.
This space is for those who feel there is more to life than moving in automatic flow. For those who are curious about themselves, their patterns, and the quiet wisdom within them. For those ready to pause, breathe, and meet their life and themselves with clarity and intention.
ICLiving isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about knowing yourself, trusting your inner compass, and choosing from awareness instead of habit or fear.
Here, you’ll find writing, reflections, tools, and teachings to support you in:
• Understanding your inner world
• Building emotional and nervous-system awareness
• Deepening presence and self-trust
• Living with conscious choice instead of reaction
• Returning to yourself again and again
Whether you are just beginning this journey or already living with intentional awareness, I’m honored to walk with you.
Welcome to this space.
Take your time. Explore. Breathe.
You matter here.
I founded ICLiving as a heart-centered, evidence-informed approach to living life purposefully aware. My work blends neuroscience, contemplative practice, and the depth of lived human experience to help people return to themselves, building the internal clarity and emotional coherence needed to live with presence, compassion, and choice.
I began my career in medicine as a first assist, working directly with surgeons in the operating room. Being hands-on with the human body every day shaped my deep respect for physiology, resilience, and the powerful connection between awareness and wellbeing.
Later, I trained as a Certified Spiritual Director and Usui Reiki Master and went on to build a self-awareness practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. There, I supported clients in emotional regulation, nervous-system grounding, and internal empowerment. Over time, my work evolved from helping people feel better in the moment to guiding them in truly learning themselves, trusting themselves, and consciously shaping their inner world.
Today, through my writing, one-on-one sessions, lectures, and teaching, I support people in recognizing their patterns, strengthening their self-trust, and living with deliberate awareness — not from pressure or automatic flow, but from curiosity, compassion, and grounded presence.
I’m a mother, a wife, a New Yorker, and a lifelong student of what moves the human spirit. I believe that when we understand ourselves, we naturally understand others — and from that understanding, we create connection and meaningful change.
I write weekly on Substack, share daily reflections across multiple platforms, and am currently completing my first book with ICLiving Press.
ICLiving is a practice of living life purposefully aware. It is:
- Heart-centered
- Grounded in science and lived experience
- Non-dogmatic, non-religious, non-woo woo
- Inclusive (atheist → mystic → mother → scientist → seeker)
- Practical, embodied, real-world awareness
- Gentle, but not passive
- Strong, but not forceful
- Self-trust, not guru-dependency
- Consciousness, not ideology
- Emotional intelligence + nervous-system awareness
- Personal growth without spiritual posturing
- Clarity without shame
- Love without performance
My purpose isn’t trying to wake people up with urgency. It’s quietly helping them return to themselves — in a world that constantly pulls people away from themselves. It is a sanctuary and a mirror.
My guiding belief: Awareness is where change begins.
When we see ourselves clearly, we can choose clearly and choice is where change begins. We are shaped by conditioning, but not defined by it.
- Awareness gives access to agency.
- Knowing yourself is the foundation of peace, connection, and integrity.
- You don’t need to become someone else; you need to return to yourself.
- Conscious living expands compassion for self and others.
- The opposite of love is fear.
- True change begins inside, and ripples outward.
My Method: Pause → Notice → Understand → Choose
Heart (felt sense) + Mind (awareness) + Body (presence)
When you’re ready, we can begin this work side by side.
